Our Story
After The Reign was inspired by a single mother of two children who lost their father to gun violence, and because of this loss, developed financial hardships that made it difficult for the children to remain in college after high school.
Mission

How It Started
Michelle Duffey is the visionary Founder and Executive Director of After the Reign, a nonprofit organization dedicated to advancing the success and visibility of students who desire to attend college despite the challenges many young students of trauma have faced. With a deep-rooted passion for education equity, Michelle has advocated for increased resources and support systems that empower underserved students to achieve their academic and career goals.
Drawing from personal experiences and years of involvement in the college system herself, Michelle is committed to breaking down barriers to education and creating pathways for students to thrive. Under her leadership, After the Reign is bridging the gap between a student's unlimited possibilities through innovative programs and services tailored to the unique needs of college students.
Michelle Duffey holds a Bachelor of Business Administration and a Master of Healthcare Administration. She is pursuing a Master's in Education & Human Development/Marriage, Couple & Family Counseling.
